Hi y’all! I’m Cindy Pearce, the creative energy behind The Woven Stone. Many people are curious about the name of my business, it’s a simple: I wire weave around gemstones.
My fascination with gemstones comes from a lifetime of collecting rocks. Our family would go to gem mines and gem and mineral shows to search for “hidden gems.” What began as a childhood hobby has blossomed into a creative passion for geology and gemology.
Wire weaving has been a 10 year journey; meeting fascinating people, mastering intricate and challenging techniques, and producing one-of-a-kind pieces. Each time I pick up my wire and pliers, the stone guides me on how to highlight its beauty. Weaving patterns, twisting wire, curling and curving a weave, enables me to create my sculptural artwork.
I believe that jewelry should be as unique as the person wearing it.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art, which focused in Graphic Arts (before personal computers influenced the process) I enjoyed a rewarding career in Graphic Design. Now, I’ve producing my most satisfying work: the joy of creating handmade art.
Wire weaving has sparked my creativity, leading me to design a diverse array of pieces that showcase my love for gemstones. This art form truly exemplifies art’s endless possibilities.
Uniquely Handcrafted Jewelry
Each piece of jewelry I create is meticulously hand woven with care and attention to detail. I believe that jewelry should be as unique and individual as the person wearing it.
My goal is to craft unique and intricately detailed pieces that customers will enjoy for years to come.
Hand-chosen natural gemstones, fossils, pearls, crystals, and handmade artisan beads make each piece an original work of art.
Most pieces feature from three to eight different wire weaving patterns and may take hours to days to complete –
depending on the difficulty of the design.
Each piece is hand crafted, carefully woven in pure copper, sterling, or 14KGF, finished with a warm patina, and buffed to a soft finish.
